About the Company
Our client — Bravo, a Ukrainian deep tech startup in defense communications — is developing the next generation of tactical radio and drone control systems.
Bravo is a Ukrainian deep tech startup in defense communications, selected by Brave1 as the most advanced radio system for integration with foreign partners, winner of IT Arena 2025, and part of the first cohort of the Deep Tech Accelerator — a joint initiative of the Stanford Research Institute and the Government of Ukraine. The company designs both hardware and software, ensuring full control over the performance, reliability, and security of its communication systems.
Key Responsibilities

Define and lead the company’s overall technical vision and architecture.

Build and manage a cross-functional R&D team (Embedded, RF, Firmware, DSP, Backend).

Plan and oversee the development roadmap and technical priorities.

Design and implement scalable embedded systems and communication networks.

Participate hands-on in coding, prototyping, and system integration.

Establish and maintain quality standards, testing, and validation processes.

Lead field testing and troubleshoot system performance in real-world conditions.

Collaborate closely with product and executive teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

Ensure long-term scalability, reliability, and security of the entire technology stack.
Requirements
-
5+ years in embedded systems and firmware development.

Proficiency in C/C++ for bare-metal and RTOS-based systems (FreeRTOS / Azure RTOS).

Experience with STM32 microcontrollers, Semtech RF transceivers, and sub-GHz modulation schemes (LoRa, FSK, GFSK, FLRC).

Strong understanding of embedded peripherals (SPI, UART, I2C, ADC, DMA) and interrupt-driven programming.

Familiarity with video codecs (H.264, H.265, AV1) and power-sensitive design.

Experience in network architectures — particularly MESH networking and MANET protocols.

Proven experience in hardware-software co-design and PCB-level collaboration.

Upper-Intermediate English level (for documentation and investor communication).

Experience designing modular embedded architectures and HALs.

Ownership of build infrastructure (Git, CMake, CI/CD).

Strong understanding of QA workflows, code validation, and documentation standards.
Nice to Have

Experience with OQPSK/COFDM modulation and FPGA-based systems.

Background in field testing, telemetry troubleshooting, or defense tech.

Understanding of signal reliability under interference/jamming conditions.
