Our client is a leading vision-based navigation company with offices in New York City and Kyiv, Ukraine. The company has secured over $15M in funding from Tier 1 US-based venture capital firms and provides solutions to more than 40 clients worldwide, including AeroVironment, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, General Atomics, and the US Department of State.
With a strong presence in Kyiv for over two years, the team currently consists of more than five full-time professionals. The company is now seeking to expand its Kyiv office by hiring a sixth team member.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Flight Integration Engineer to join its team in Kyiv. This role will be responsible for integrating, testing, and deploying fixed-wing and multirotor drone systems for field operations, system validation, and customer demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble, modify, and integrate UAV systems including airframes, propulsion, and payloads.

Conduct pre-flight checks, field deployments, and flight operations for both R&D and customer demonstrations.

Collaborate with flight test engineers to implement and execute test plans.

Tune and configure autopilots (e.g., Pixhawk, Ardupilot), radios, GPS modules, and other subsystems.

Build and manage flight plans using GCS software (Mission Planner, QGroundControl, etc.).

Diagnose and resolve issues related to electronics, telemetry, or flight behavior.

Support FRRs and TRRs by verifying airworthiness and mission readiness.

Log mission data and prepare detailed flight and test reports.

Maintain inventories and manage hardware configurations for test platforms.
Requirements

3+ years of experience in UAV flight testing, integration, or operations.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

750+ hours of drone flight time as Pilot in Command (PIC).

Strong experience with fixed-wing and multirotor platforms (e.g., Mugin, Carbonix, DJI, eBee, PenguinC).

Proficient with GCS tools: Mission Planner, QGC, eMotion, CoPilot.

Familiarity with Pixhawk, RFD900 radios, EO/IR sensors, and GPS modules.

Soldering, electronics assembly, and airframe modification experience.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.

Willingness to travel for field testing and customer demos.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with counter-UAS testing, military flight demonstrations, or defense-sector operations.

Experience conducting orthomosaic mapping or photogrammetry (e.g., using Pix4D, ArcGIS).
